How do you bring fish camp comfort to the Magic City?

Unhurried, communal, classic Gulf Coast hospitality. That was the vision for Magnolia Point, a new seafood restaurant and bar in Birmingham, Alabama.

Our clients thoughtfully restored their 1930’s building on Magnolia Avenue in Southside, including the original exterior signage, and wanted their brand to evoke history without resting on nostalgic laurels. So we started by diving deep into icons of coastal design: painted seafood shacks, fishing guides, marine patents, vintage postcards. What we surfaced with is an identity that’s relaxed as a day on the water and vibrant as the city it calls home.
